General Terms and Conditions
Application and Contract
Making an application does not automatically entitle the applicant to a place on the seminar. BerlinPhotoWorkshops reserves the rights to choose participants on the basis of their filed work examples or portfolios and the interview. The applicant is not entitled to legally challenge this decision. The selected participants will be given contracts which are legally binding about signing.
Terms of payment
The seminar fee is due in full, four weeks before the beginning of the seminar. If the contract is signed later, fees are due immediately. For seminars of more than 5 days duration, it is possible to pay in two installments of half of the total amount due. The second payment is due four weeks before the sixth seminar meeting.
Cancellation by participant
Cancellation is possible up to four weeks before the beginning of the seminar; however we will charge a service fee of 10, – Euros. Cancellation up to 14 days before beginning of the seminar will result in cancellation fees of 50% of the full seminar fee, for later cancellation the full fee of the seminar is due without consideration.
Cancellation by BerlinPhotoWorkshops
BerlinPhotoWorkshops reserves the right to cancel and change the dates of seminars due to either a high response or too few participants. In this case the seminar fee will be returned in full if the participant is unable to accomodate the new seminar date.
Seminars
The seminars follow the course outline, however, minor changes or discrepancies may occur. Please refer to the outlines on this website.
Copyright
The legal copyright in any form in reference to course material remain the legal property of the authors. Seminar materials must not be copied, published, reproduced or distributed in any form without the prior and express consent of the legal authors. BerlinPhotoWorkshops reserves the right to publish on its website, participant’s work completed in the seminars.
Liability
BerlinPhotoWorkshops is not liable for any physical damage or personal injury occuring in relation to or during the course of the seminar series.
Data privacy
BerlinPhotoWorkshops will store for organisational reasons the names, addresses and payments of the participants. This data will not be given to or shared with third parties for any reason except for those of a legal nature.
Miscellaneous
Place of performance and jurisdiction for both parties shall be in Berlin. The contractual relationship between the parties, as well as any other possible claims arising thereunder, shall be governed entirely by German law. If one or more of the foregoing conditions are or become ineffective this shall not affect the effectiveness of the other provisions. This text was prepared in the German and English. In the event of discrepancies between the German and the English text, the German text takes priority.
